xmas3 xmas3 NBN CHRISTMAS STAR PRIZE AUCTION xmas3 xmas3

NBN are pleased to announce there will be a free to enter "sealed bid" auction starting 1st December, to close 23rd December to win a short break holiday on either Alphacraft Spitfire or Mustang. Spitfire is a 6 berth cruiser with either 3 double beds, or 2 doubles and 2 singles, Mustang is the same design but with 3 fixed doubles (details can be seen at >> Details of the Alphacraft <<

Alpha Craft have kindly donated this prize to NBN, worth well in excess of £650, with the stipulation the holiday must be taken before May Bank Holiday, or between October and December, 2010 (excluding bank holiday weekends). The prize includes fuel and damage waiver, but personal/holiday insurance is excluded.

1. To bid for this fantastic prize, please send a pm to TheWatergypsy with the value of your bid. This must include your postal address, landline telephone number and valid email address. These will of course be strictly confidential, but will help us contact you should a problem arise, or should the winner not be able to log on to the site when the winning announcement is made. Bids received without this information will not be valid.
2. A leaderboard will be published and modified daily, to show who is in the lead with their bid, but the value of the bids will not be shown.
3. Sensible bids only please, in whole pounds.
4. You may make as many bids as you like.
5. Once the auction closes, and the winner is notified by PM, they will have 10 working days to submit payment (details to be arranged to suit the winning member).
6. If payment is not received in time, the second highest bidder will become the winner.

This is your chance to win a fantastic early Christmas pressie, and have something to look forward to during those cold, dark days of winter. Get those bids in folks!

Booked up on Spitfire 22nd - 26th March.

Current plan is Brundall-->22nd Reedham (Lord Nelson)--> 23rd Womack (Kings Head) --> 24th Salhouse (The Bell for the Quiz) -->25th Cantley (Reedcutters) --> Brundall.

We will need a couple of early starts to get to Yarmouth at slack water, but it does seem to be plausible.
(Depending of course on the water level in the Bure if it doesn't stop raining!)

I've been through Yarmouth four times before but never in a boat that needs 8' 3"...
( Neap tides that week so not as much drop as for Springs)

I also need to organise a Birthday party for the junior member of the crew, he'll be 4 whilst we are on the water!

Weather should be better by them after all Summertime starts on the 29th March

I will try to get some good photos and a "Holiday Tales" write up to reward Paul for donating the trip for the auction.
(And once its over Brian will have a chance to think of a new Site Banner!)

Well they say that no plan survives the first contact with the enemy...

22nd arrived Reedham as planned, but the Lord Nelson doesn't open on a Monday night so it was down to the Ship instead.

23rd Ranworth (Maltsters), to let Gazpode look at the church and its bells.

24th Salhouse (The Bell for the quiz), First crew this year to take Steve up on his "pick-up" service!
Met up with the regulars of the Team NBN.

25th Middle of Nowhere, upstream from Cantley (Beauchamps Inn), as there was a possibility of someone joining us for Dinner and as they were coming from Beccles we wanted to be on the south bank.

So I got one pub right out of four!

(And if anyone saw bubbles coming out of Spitfire, the little ones were Gary being too generous with the washing up liquid, but the big ones were down to the Thomas The Tank Engine toys that Ryan got for his birthday).

We will post a proper report in the Holiday Tales soon, but a good time was definitely had by all.

And the same from me too. How did you get on in the quiz, i hope you did`nt let the NBN quiz regulars down   . Regards ............Neil.
Good manners and politeness cost nothing, but can buy a lot of respect, grattitude, and appreciation, so why raise hell, when it`s better to raise a smile?.

Couldn't get a wifi signal so no Google available....

Our team were the four of us from Spitfire + mbird
No questions on kiddies cartoons so the junior member couldn't help and fell asleep.
The rest of us go a few right and a few wrong and came about fourth, just behind the other NBN team!
