Its looking promising that we will be there Barry until after Breakfast on the Sunday morning, then will be following any convoy that may be returning down South for a few days :dance :Stinky

Im thinking of cooking up some Tandoori Chicken, popadoms and pickles, and possibly a Balti or a Medium Curry for the Saturday night, along with some Veggie Samosas, Basmati rice, and a few Hot dogs for the more conservative tastes Lol
Were just waiting to see the results of the Curry Munchers thread on this one, as i dont wish to offend anyone who hates Curry with the aroma of it cooking drifting across the broad and onto their boat :naughty:

The alternative would be to go down the route of the Pasta Bolognaise, or maybe a big pan of Chilli as Mark suggested :)

As there will also be other members setting up their BBqs, we should have a good selection of dishes on offer between us.

Bacon and Egg butties will be available for the early risers breakfast or for any campers onboard our ship, before we finally set off southern bound to catch the tides for crossing Breydon on Sunday :dance

Sounds fantastic Julz :party2: I think slack water is about 2PM on the Sunday, so it should be a pleasurable chug south!

What sort or bridge clearance at Yarmouth would you expect Jimbob?

Tide table predictions for 22nd/23rd is 0.61 Gorleston which is under chart datum so provided no North or Easterly Gales or heavy rain you have a good chance of keeping your Radar Gelcoat intact Mark ;)
If a man is to be obsessed by something, I suppose a boat is as good as anything, perhaps a bit better than most.

Perry, what is the clearance at LAT?
Boating, a pastime entered into by the wealthy but enjoyed by the poor.

Wassa radar then?? I han't got one of them buh :?

I'm having the stainless steel light arch that resides atop the radar arch hinged at the moment with some bespoke fabrication. With it at full height we were measuring 10'-2" to the top of the riding light. I'm hoping with it hinged to reduce that to about 9', so Yarmouth passages become a bit more realistic. My fear, though, is being stuck upstream and having to either turn around, or leave the boat in Yarmouth :o

I was hoping to attend by boat but sadly SWMBO is in Scotland that week so that kills that one. As the broad is in easy walking distance from the house I guess I'll just walk then!

If we go down about 15 mins infront of you Mark in one of Clives Flatties lol, we could always give you a call with bridge clearance heights if that would help prevent anyone having to turn around at last minute near the Marina :)

Ok Barry, we should be up fairly early to do a few breakfast baps for anyone who wants them, and then we will have to be heading off for the South, we will probably be stopping off at Beccles if we make enough progress, we used to do a cruise down from Wroxham to Beccles in about 9.5 hrs if we get the tides right and have Lunch underway, the beauty of late May is the longer daylight hours, so we should make the marina before dusk :)

Where will you be heading to?
