Hello All!

Postby JP-RDT » February 5th, 2010, 7:24 pm

Hi,

I'm John Powell - from Right Direction Training - an RYA Training Centre. (We have a 44' Mobile Training Centre!)

We also teach Marine Engineering - we are currently looking for a 16-17 year old apprentice based in Wroxham - please contact me if you know anyone interested.

I have been into boats since the age of 8 when I joined the Sea Scouts. I own a yacht morred in Lake Lothing and to be honest prefer the sea (Can I say that here!!!)

I wear various hats - Leisure Skipper, Commercial Skipper, Sail and Power, RNLI Sea Safety Advisor (Happy to help!), Coastguard Rescue Officer.

I'm more than happy to help and offer advise (time permitting!)

Anyway enough of me going on!

Take care

John

Welcome to the forum John. I just wish my son was a couple of years older!

Do you undertake own boat training for power boats by any chance??
My bottom is now salty, but someone stole my wet wipes!!

Cheers

"to be honest prefer the sea (Can I say that here!!!)" course you can John, oranges are not the only fruit, welcome to the forum and I look forward to more from you.

P.S. what a rare opportunity you are offering for a lucky candidate. (no not you Luke, you can already start engines by magic) :dance

Hi John,

Welcome to the forum, As long as you don't bring one of those nasty unsuitable boats through Mutford lock you will be fine :naughty: :naughty:

There are a growing bunch of renegades who secretly harbour a forbidden thought of tasting salt. Through espionage it has been possible to infiltrate the group and even discover them passing secret messages on the offshore section of the forum and conspiring to meet up at Oulton Broad and RNSYC over Easter, some are even thinking of going out past those nasty pier head things.

Seriously though it is great to have a man of your experience around. cheersbar
