Upton, White Horse - www.hard-rain-band.co.uk - Sat 16th Jan 8.30pm

Ludham, Dog Inn- www.hard-rain-band.co.uk - Friday 29th Jan 8.30pm - a first gig at this venue, so looking forward to it.

Thanks for the update Richard, some gigs to look forward to! For anyone who hasn’t seen Hard Rain or Big Sister, do go and see them, I promise you are in for a treat.

In particular don’t miss the debut gig at the excellent Dog at Ludham Bridge on 29th Jan, should be a cracker!!

Re: Live Music - February

Hi,

just a quick thanks to everyone that braved the snow and came over to the Hard Rain gig at the Dog Inn at Ludham yesterday evening. It was a nice surprise to drive through a blizzard to find so many people already in the pub - you're an adventurous bunch ! We had a great time, thanks.

Next http://www.hard-rain-band.co.uk gig is at the Maltsters, Ranworth next Sat Feb 6th 8.30 - hopefully kinder weather...

Thanks again.

Best regards

Richard

Suppose this should be strictly live music February but near enough.

Called into the New Inn last week for the Tuesday music night. What a treat. Featured Rick and John with another John on double bass. We have seen the latter John at the Lion, Thurne and he is excellent, double bass is not an easy instrument to play! He also played right through the night, no mean achievement. Richard and Sally were also there from Hard Rain and were excellent as always. In addition there was an amazing trio, from Reedham I believe, who play (by their own description) Norfolk swamp music. Did a very entertaining song about the Reedham Ferry. Comprising violin, mandolin and banjo as well as vocals. Very original and very entertaining. I think they go under the title of the Chuffinches but could be wrong!

A really enjoyable evening. Well done to everyone concerned and of course the New Inn for supporting live music, brilliant stuff.
